Hermine Marie (Pepinger) Hartley died at Shell Point Village in Fort Myers, Florida Tuesday morning, September 12, 2017. She was born in Kearny, New Jersey. She was married 61 years to well-known artist Al Hartley. They made their home in Brookside, New Jersey until moving to Sanibel in 1972. She is survived by her sister, Fran Sorensen of Grandfather Mountain, North Carolina and Sanibel, Florida; two children, Alana (and Bob) Van Rensselaer of Mendham, New Jersey; Dr. Fred Allan (and Sherry) Hartley, III of Lilburn, Georgia; 6 grandchildren, John (and Jean) Carter, III of Mendham, New Jersey; Lee Hartley (and Drew Stein) Carter of New Rochelle and East Hampton, New York; Fred Allan (and Joanna) Hartley, IV of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Andrea Hartley (and Josh) Smith of Irving Texas; Stephen (and Emily) Hartley of Lilburn, Georgia; and Andrew (and Amber) Hartley of Lilburn, Georgia; and 18 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11am at Hilltop Church, Mendham, New Jersey.
